I am going to share some personal information with you. I have been obsessed with this information for months now, ever since I got a diagnosis for “leaky gut syndrome.” Most medical professionals don’t believe this diagnosis exists. However, I have always been a bit of a conspiracy theorist, so of course I believe in it. Recently, I happened upon this article about Candida Albicans.
I received my diagnosis in February, after Valentine’s Day, and for at least 4 months ate only protein (meat) and green vegetables. The good news is that I dropped about 12-16 lbs., the bad news is that by the end of May I fell of the wagon and spent my summer eating whatever I wanted. I was hungry! Needless to say, it is September, and my stomach is pi$$ed.
So, being the OCD internet researcher that I am, I found this system and I am really crossing my fingers that it will work. I’ll definitely keep you posted.
People who know me probably think I am radical about nutrition, and they would be right. I am radical, but also human, so I do slip up from time to time. But, I always regain focus and try to be more disciplined about my nutrition. I have recently said that if I didn’t love my job as an esthetician, I would probably go back to school to be a holistic nutritionist. In talking to clients, I find that many of you are concerned about nutrition as well. Many of you have asked me to share some of my tips with you, which is what I’m trying to do.
I am convinced that almost everyone has problems with candida (even men), but it just hasn’t manifested itself into a physical symptom. I encourage you to read up on this issue and see what you think. As always feedback is always appreciated. I am looking for answers, so please feel free to comment and share any knowledge you can contribute. Also, if you have any remedies that work, I’d love to hear about them.
